Josh Hazlewood is expected to rejoin Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ahead of the IPL playoffs, pending final confirmation. The Australian pacer has been recovering from a shoulder injury in Australia and is now preparing to return to India.
Hazlewood missed RCB’s last match before the mid-season break and returned home for rehabilitation. Since then, he has been training in Brisbane as part of Australia’s preparations for the upcoming World Test Championship final.
According to ESPNcricinfo, Hazlewood has been progressing well in his recovery and could make a comeback in the IPL, though an official announcement is still awaited.
The right-arm quick has been a key performer for RCB this season, claiming 18 wickets in 10 matches at an impressive average of 17.27. His return would significantly bolster Bangalore’s bowling attack as they gear up for the playoffs.
RCB have already secured a playoff spot and have two league-stage matches remaining—against Sunrisers Hyderabad (May 21) and Lucknow Super Giants (May 27).
